At 2h pm today SIM fire crews responded to the report of a fire at a residential building on Hochelaga Street at the corner of Pie-IX Boulevard in Montréal, Québec, Canada. Shortly after arrival, they upgraded the incident to a 10-12 meaning a second alarm and reported one party trapped on a higher floor. Despite the fire and due to their quick response time, firefighters were able to salvage the structure and no serious injuries were reported. The otherwise busy Hochelaga Street was completely shut down for the duration of the intervention.
