A call came in for a structure fire at the corner of Oak St and 8th Ave in Vancouver. Flames were spreading on the roof when VFD arrived on scene. The fire was put out quickly but several resident of the building were evacuated.
A black 300 had a mechanical problem. VFD arrived on scene about 10 minutes after the fire started.
Started as a car on fire at Dumfries and 16th. They called for backup on arrival.

Construction workers reported seeing smoke rising. The fire spread out to another house. At least two cats were taken away from the scene. Although shaken they come out with no injuries.
