As of 5h pm tonight Highway 1 has been completely shut down in anticipation of more flood that risk to hit the region. All traffic between Abbotsford to Chilliwack on the Trans-Canada Highway is prohibited as officials expect pooling and treacherous driving conditions. Footage in this video was filmed at 6h shortly after the start of the full closure in effect. Abbotsford police officers along with CVSE peace officers are in charge of conducting road traffic duties and block entrances to affected freeway ramps. The flood situation in Southern British Columbia remains critical as thousands of residents are hoping for the best but bracing for impact.
