January 26th 2024 the landscape of the biggest city of Colombia is covered in smoke emanating from the Monserrate mountain fire now raging for over one week. The country has declared a state of emergency to help crews battle several wildfires caused by accidents or arson and that spread uncontrollably due to an ongoing drought. Footage seen in this video shows the extent of smoke that only one fire can produce and render a city with a population of 10 million people a hazard in the air.
