At 1h pm today a powerful wind and rain storm swept across most of the GTA leaving one woman dead after a tree fell on her. Paramedics were called at the intersection of Belmont Drive and Brookdale Crescent in Brampton, Canada where an adult female suffering severe traumatic injuries was found. Emergency crews carried the victim to hospital where she was declared dead. Police have cordoned off a woods trail path entrance between two houses where it is believed that the incident took place. Another person died today after a falling tree came down on their caravan in Pinehurst Lake, a small community near Cambridge, Ontario.
