At midnight Friday morning March 31st firefighters intervened in large numbers for a minor fire at Brampton Civic Hospital located at 2100 Bovaird Drive at the corner of Bramalea Road in Brampton, Canada. No one was injured and crews found a fire burning from an unknown source reportedly on the third floor of the large medical care building. They evacuated smoke using fans before wrapping up about one hour into the incident. Precautionary measures like deploying a high number of firetrucks is common use for such high risk buildings as hospitals, schools or highrises where a potential for multiple victims is greater. Even for the call of a structure fire at a dwelling home in the Greater Toronto Area requires five apparatuses to be dispatched upon one single 911 call.
