Thursday Nov 14th at 8h am a train carrying hazardous materials (hazmat) derailed in Longueuil, Canada. Footage filmed yesterday Nov 16th, two days after the accident shows cleanup still in progress. All emergency crews were dispatched last week to initially find a cloud of toxic vapor emanating from train cars at a yard near the corner of Highway 116 and Taschereau Boulevard in Longueuil, a city immediately south of Montréal, Québec, Canada. The product is Hydrogen Peroxide and poses a significant risk so authorities order a confinement for residents in the vicinity with a radius of 800 meters around ground zero. Three days later the scene is busy with cleanup crews and environmental specialists that appear to disinfect rail roads with a large track mounted apparatus. No injuries were reported following the incident and no word yet on the cause of the derailment.
