The Canadian Armed forces have been deployed in Operation Lentus to assist local authorities in the British Columbia floods and are still on the terrain as of today. On Nov 20th a C-17 Globemaster III military transport aircraft arrived in Abbotsford YXX carrying three Griffon helicopters. After offloading the choppers, we quickly toured the massive heavy lifting airplane that remained parked on the tarmac. Footage shows entry via the hydraulic lift platform at the rear of the aircraft and walk-in to the flight deck and open hatch observation post at the top. The plane was used to carry the Griffon helicopters from the Trenton base in Ontario who in turn were used to help performing all flood related lifting duties.
