Residents came in numbers throughout the day to observe the unfolding events at the Boundary Road area of Huntingdon Village in Abbotsford, Canada. Water from recent rainfall has flooded the Nooksack River in some areas in the United States. This water then in turn spilled into Canadian territory now for hours. Military personnel carried observation duties in what they call Operation LENTUS or "op-lentus" following the setup of sandbag dykes along a railway. News crews have established a base camp where numerous reporters have joined live feeds on all TV stations in the province. Stunned onlookers took photos of the spilling water and damage with the only hope of seeing the water recede. But unaware and innocent playful dogs provide some much needed relief.
