At 1h am this morning Thursday July 18 all emergency crews were called on the eastbound live lanes of Taschereau Blvd in Longueuil, Canada for a pedestrian accident. A person was found on the ground by firefighters after being struck by a car in the 70 kmph speed zone (43 mph) with serious injuries. Upon communication heard on SSIAL emergency scanner radios a life saving device AED defibrillator was installed on the patient. Officers from the SPAL intervene in large numbers and scoured nearby businesses to continue their investigation in search of clues. Traffic was diverted during the intervention by police to allow an ambulance to make its way to the scene. The victim was carries on a stretcher by paramedics into the CETAM vehicle and was transported code 3 to hospital with a cruiser escort.
