At 5h30 this afternoon a car mishap left no one seriously injured after the driver of a vehicle crashed into a building after confusing the gas pedal for the brake pedal. According to witnesses a mid aged woman behind the wheel explained she confused the gas pedal for the brake pedal and rammed the front façade of a laundromat. The unfortunate incident happened at the corner of Darcel Avenue and Brandon Gate Drive in the Malton area of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Firefighters rushed to the scene with lights and sirens and the driver was transported away from the scene in a Toronto paramedics ambulance because of the border of both cities. Significant damage to the front window of a laundromat located in a small busy shopping plaza at that intersection can be seen as the vehicle remains immobilized half way into the structure. In a miracle at the rush hour time nobody was in the immediate vicinity of the shattered glass or the nearby sidewalk, which could have led to serious injuries or death.
