At 6h pm tonight two pedestrians were struck by a work van at the corner of Kennedy Road and Courtneypark Drive in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Emergency crews responded to the call only to find an adult and a child suffering traumatic injuries. The adult victim was transported to hospital and declared dead while the child victim remains in critical condition. The weather conditions were dry and the night had already set at the time of the collision. It appears there is no pedestrian crosswalk where the impact occurred and the van remained on scene immobilized in front of a gas station. Collision reconstruction investigators from the PRP have been deployed to shed light on the events. Meanwhile, another pedestrian died after being struck by a train tonight at the Malton GO Station in Mississauga.
