On Saturday May 30th 2020 violent riots broke out in the city of Montréal, Canada following the widespread North American revolt against police brutality and the recent death of George Floyd. A demonstration was organised at 5h pm as thousands of protesters gathered in front of SPVM police headquarters at the corner of St-Urbain Street and Ste-Catherine Street. Speeches were held and a march ensued during which the crowd already appeared to be agitated, walking and running around the city before coming back to the original departure point. Moments later, the large crowd split into smaller numbers and the demonstration turned into a full blown riot. Masked antifa anarchists along with other types of thugs broke luxurious store windows and stole properties as seen in the spectacular images in this video compilation. A Steve's Music was destroyed and robbed of thousands of dollars worth of musical instruments among them numerous electric guitars. Other stores and private companies' buildings were damaged as vandals threw stones and rocks. Cars were attempted to be lit on fire and the SIM fire department was involved in battling multiple trash fires across the city. Police eventually deployed the SPVM riot unit who clashed with rioters and dispersed the looters. Endless violence is echoing throughout most of the USA on day 10 of this crisis. Some Canadians demonstrate their support for the cause south of the border and other local similar ones. Another protest that ended peacefully disrupted the streets of the Toronto downtown core only one day before: https://youtu.be/2Pzvg_wV8EQ
