At 6h pm last night, a 74 year old man was struck by a vehicle at the corner of Yonge Street and Blackforest Drive in Richmond Hill, a city in the GTA just north of Toronto. Initial reports suggested that the victim was dragged as well but it was later learned that the man suffered serious but non life-threatening injuries. Forensic identification police officers were spotted documenting the scene of the accident's aftermath in front of a Tim Horton's restaurant location. The 17 year old male driver of the vehicle implied in the collision is facing careless driving charges, an offence according to the Province of Ontario's Highway Traffic Act.
