St-Jean-sur-Richelieu: Ravaging fire burns across entire wide apartment complex 1-15-2022

Yet another incredible fire in this never ending cold weather system that wreaks havoc in Eastern North America. An apartment complex at Le Sieur Street and Seminaire Blvd in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, a city on the south shore of Montréal in Québec, Canada has been severely damaged tonight in a devastating inferno. Stunning images filmed live at the scene show ripping flames across the roof line and overwhelmed firefighters. The large size of the building with the numerous divisions is creating a challenge for crews who are currently battling the blaze under subfreezing temperatures of -22C. Dozens of families have been thrown out to the street from the burning 24-unit structure and unconfirmed reports suggest that some pets have died in the fast spreading fire. Everyone inside the building evacuated safely and took shelter during this frigid evening. No serious injuries have been reported and fire crews are still fighting the fire at this moment.
