At 5h pm last night during a severe thunderstorm a lightning bolt struck a house and burnt it down along with another one and damaged a third one in Ste-Marthe-sur-le-Lac, Québec, Canada. Crews from adjacent municipalities gathered to help in mutual aid to the fire department of Ste-Marthe to fight what became a serious multi-structure fire incident. Police and fire officials confirmed a lightning strike was the cause of the ignition of the fire in one of the houses affected. Two homes suffered considerable structural damage as seen in the ground and aerial images of this compilation. One pet dog died in the blaze but no one was injured in the neighborhood or crews who attended the scene.
