Toronto: Crane operator saved by TFS high angle rescue team 3-31-2021

At 4h pm today TFS members engaged in a lengthy technical rescue after a crane operator became trapped atop of its machinery. The daring incident took place at a construction site for the development of a new building on the York University grounds at the corner of Haynes Avenue and Pond Road in North York, a neighborhood in Toronto, Canada. High angle rescue technicians from the Toronto Fire Services conducted a rope rescue that lasted over an hour before the operator was brought down to safety. The patient was transported away in a Toronto Paramedic Services ambulance waiting nearby and no serious injury were reported.
