Demolition crews are on scene of a twelve story hotel located at the intersection of Highway 401 and Allen Road in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The vacant Holiday Inn stood at that location since 1971 when its construction was completed and had its last day of activity five months ago on November 20th 2020. A large development complex of about 750 individual units made of three residential towers of about 30 stories each will replace the landmark that was visible from the nearby freeway. Large industrial heavy machinery like backhoes and magnetic cranes are breaking walls piece by piece to safely demolish the entire structure. The demolition is ongoing while the new project is in pre-construction stages.
