At 6h pm last Friday June 11th 2021 fire broke out at a vacant house at the corner of Gerrard Street and Ontario Street in the downtown core of Toronto, Canada. Smoke visible from over 15 kilometers away in the distance from the neighborhood of Rexdale, could be seen billowing over tall skyscrapers. Fire crews responded to the incident in Cabbagetown only to quickly upgrade the incident to a third alarm fire battle. Fire that appears to have started at the rear of a building quickly spread into it and into an adjacent one as well. As of 8h tonight, two hours into the incident firefighters are still actively fighting this blaze that fortunately didn't cause any injuries.
